ABOUT THE CHARLESTON AREA BEACHES

Historic Charleston South Carolina boasts a variety of beach communities, each with its own attributes and special flavor. Folly Beach is lovingly referred to as "The Edge of America" with its Bohemian attitude, carefree and slightly avant guard community. Here one might expect to find poets, surfers as well as baby boomers who may recall marching for peace during the Viet Nam war era.
